The cool, breezy wind was refreshing today but, east of Gangwon-do Province has been under a strong wind advisory, that's expected to last until tomorrow.
Starting Tuesday, temperatures are expected to warm up again thanks to some sunny spells, but will remain on the cool side.
Meanwhile, Tokyo can expect rain.
The cold air means morning temperatures will be rather chilly, below the seasonal average.
Temperatures will mostly range between the low to mid-teens.
The afternoon highs in Seoul, Daejeon, Chuncheon and Busan will top 23 degrees Celsius, with Daegu and Gyeongju getting the warmest weather.
Higher readings are expected as the week goes on, highs expected to mark 30 degrees by Friday.
