Hyundai Mobis CEO becomes first Korean ISO president Updated: 2022-09-23 13:11:14 KST

The CEO of South Korea's auto parts maker Hyundai Mobis has been elected the next president of the world's largest standards organization.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy on Thursday, CEO Cho Sung-hwan became the first Korean president of the International Organization for Standardization or ISO.
The election was held at ISO General Assembly in Abu Dhabi.
Cho was recognized for his deep understanding of international standardization and leadership and is expected to play an active role in decision-making for ISO affairs.
His term begins in 2024 and will last for 2 years.
Cho will replace current chief Ulrika Francke.
