S. Korea lifts all outdoor mask mandates... 29,108 new COVID-19 cases reported on Friday Updated: 2022-09-23 13:13:13 KST

In light of the steady decline in COVID-19 infections, South Korea has announced the lifting of all outdoor mask mandates, including for large outdoor gatherings from September 26th.
Some outdoor mask rules were removed in May, but the mandates for large outdoor group gatherings of over 50 people, like sports events, concerts, and outdoor rallies, had been kept in place with violators subject to a fine.
Indoor mask requirements remain in place for the time being.
South Korea reported 29-thousand 1-hundred-and-8 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
There were 68 more COVID-related deaths and around 400 severely ill patients.
