Former Deputy Prime Minister Cho Soon has died at the age of 94.
Medical sources said he passed away on Thursday of natural causes, at Asan Medical Center in Seoul.
Cho served as the finance chief in the late-1980s,.. and also headed the Bank of Korea for a year in the early 90s.
He became the first publicly elected mayor of Seoul in the mid-90s.
Top South Korean officials,.. as well as President Yoon Suk-yeol himself visited the funeral home to pay their respects.
Cho will be buried in his home city of Gangneung, Gangwon-do Province.
