TODAY that is May 23rd marks the 13th anniversary of former President Roh Moo-hyun's passing.
A commemorative ceremony is taking place as we speak at the late president's final resting place Bongha Village in Gyeongsangnam-do province.
Among the attendees are Prime Minister Han Duck-soo President Yoon's aides and lawmakers from the ruling People Power Party.
The move is seen as an effort by the conservative PPP to expand supporter base ahead of June 1st local elections.
Meanwhile leaders of the main opposition Democratic Party are also attending along with former President Moon Jae-in and former presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung.
In 2009 Roh jumped to his death from a cliff amid a corruption probe into his family and aides.
