Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister says six-party talks are the best platform to reach a comprehensive solution on the Korean Peninsula.
This comes amid heightened tensions fueled by North Korea's latest successive missile launches.
Speaking to Russian news agency TASS on Friday, Igor Morgulov said that there would be no dialogue regarding the Peninsula's nuclear issue, if the United States and its allies continue to pursue changes in the regime.
He noted that Washington has yet to take practical steps,.. but added the six-party talks may resume if the Biden administration is committed to establishing peace in the region.
The talks began in 2003 among the two Koreas, the U.S., Russia, China, and Japan to resolve the nuclear crisis,.. but were halted in 2009.
