North Korea has confirmed that it tested a long-range cruise missile system and surface-to-surface tactical guided missiles on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.
The North's state-run media says Kim Jong-un did not attend either of the launches, instead reportedly visiting a munitions factory.
The report says the cruise missile test conducted on Tuesday by the North's Academy of Defense Science flew for over two-and-a-half hours, hitting a target island 18-hundred kilometers away.
