The number of people in South Korea who moved houses last year declined by the most in nine years in part because of high property prices.
According to Statistics Korea, a total of 7.2 million people moved house which is an on-year decline of 6.7 and the sharpest drop since 2012.
With home prices soaring, the agency said there were fewer properties bought and sold.
Plus, there was a base effect because the number of people who moved in 2020 was relatively high.
The city of Seoul continued to see a net outflow of residents, with 106-thousand people moving out.
But to the greater capital region, which includes Incheon and Gyeonggi-do Province, there was a net inflow for a fifth consecutive year.
