South Korea is hosting the 2021 Seoul UN Peacekeeping Ministerial virtually over the next couple of days.
It's the first time the meeting's being hosted in Asia.
It will highlight "medical capacity building and technology in peacekeeping as important cross-cutting issues".
Seventy-six of the 155 member countries of the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations are expected to make statements on improving peacekeeping around the world.
On Wednesday, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will deliver a special speech.
Seoul originally planned to host the conference in-person but decided to go virtual due to the omicron variant.
