N. Korea's pandemic border shutdown worsens food shortage especially during winter: WP Updated: 2021-12-06 08:52:17 KST

North Korea's pandemic-related border shutdown has worsened food shortages, and affected supplies and availability of cash, leaving its people even more vulnerable during the winter.
This according to the Washington Post on Sunday, which added new measures laid out by Kim Jong-un have further restricted economic activity.
While referring to analysis reporting that this year's crop yield was not severely affected by summer flood damage, the report still said food shortages remain a problem and international aid groups have left the North due to the lockdown.
