A heavy snow storm in northern Spain over the weekend resulted in road closures, as truck drivers were left stranded.
According to Spain's traffic authorities, 139 roads across northern Spain were affected by the storm.
Some truck drivers were stranded for at least 15 hours at a service station, unable to move.
"Around 15 hours I have been stranded, 15 hours, and I don't know, it all depends on the weather. We may have to stay the entire day here"
Spain's transport minister said Saturday that 847 snow ploughs were operating, and over 156-thousand tons of sodium chloride and sea salt were on hand to battle the snowfall on roads and highways.
However, the slow rollout of assistance, may leave truck drivers stranded further, until the roads are cleared.
