COP26 draft deal calls for stronger climate change commitment by 2022 Updated: 2021-11-11 07:57:13 KST

The global commitment to reducing CO2 emissions needs to be even stronger, with countries urged to do more at this year's UN climate change conference.
A draft COP26 deal released on Wednesday acknowledged that current pledges are insufficient, urging delegates for more ambitious cuts in greenhouse gas emissions.
Countries were asked to raise their reduced emissions targets by end of next year to align with the Paris Agreement set in 2015.
The final deal will be set before the summit ends on Friday.
