S. Korea urges citizens not to travel to Sudan amid post-coup protests Updated: 2021-10-27 17:35:34 KST

The South Korean foreign ministry has raised its travel advisory for Sudan to level three, urging people to cancel or postpone trips to the country as protests continue there in the wake of a military coup.
In the announcement Wednesday, South Koreans already in Sudan were also urged to leave.
The level three advisory was already in place in four Sudanese states, and the rest of the country was under a special advisory related to the pandemic.
Sudan is in crisis after its military seized power on Monday, arresting the prime minister of the transitional government and declaring a state of emergency.
