South Korea's foreign minister Chung Eui-yong will depart for Moscow later for talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.
They'll meet Wednesday to discuss bilateral ties, Korean peninsula affairs and regional issues.
This comes as Seoul is working with related countries to try and resume talks with North Korea as soon as possible.
They'll also attend a cultural event commemorating 30 years of their diplomatic ties.
This trip to Russia follows Lavrov's visit to Seoul in March.
