China has increased electricity imports from countries like North Korea and Myanmar to ease one of its most severe power shortages in a decade.
According to the South China Morning Post, customs data showed that China's electricity imports from North Korea jumped by 62 percent in September…compared with the same period last year.
It also jumped by 37 percent on-year to 2-hundred 91 gigawatt hours in the first three quarters of 2021.
China also increased its imports from Myanmar by 44 percent in the first three quarters of this year compared to the same period in 2020.
