S. Korea's NSC expresses deep regret over N. Korea's missile launch Updated: 2021-10-19 15:21:18 KST

South Korea's National Security Council has expressed deep regret over North Korea's missile launch, and has urged the regime to return to the negotiating table.
The NSC held an emergency meeting Tuesday morning for about 70 minutes to discuss the security situation.
The launch by the North comes amid active consultations between the U.S., China, Japan and Russia to advance the Korean Peninsula peace process.
The NSC reaffirmed that stability on the Korean Peninsula is more important than ever, vowing to keep close tabs on the situation and to closely coordinate with related parties.
