South Korea on Thursday reported close to 25-hundred new cases of COVID-19, an increase from the day before.
All but 27 of them were local, and almost 80 percent were in the greater Seoul area.
There were also eight more deaths.
As for the vaccine campaign, more than 75-percent of the population have now received at least one shot and over 55 percent have been fully vaccinated.
But there's another three-day weekend coming up, which the authorities say could cause cases to rise again.
