S. Korea to give a million doses to Vietnam, while receiving one million doses from UK Updated: 2021-09-23 05:46:20 KST

The South Korean government is finally in the business of giving out COVID-19 vaccine doses to countries in need.
South Korea's vaccine task force said Wednesday that the government plans to give at least a million doses to Vietnam, a country that's currently bearing the full brunt of COVID-19 and has asked for help with vaccines.
South Korea is giving out as much as they're receiving, as the government is also due to bring in a million doses from the UK in a separate vaccine swap deal.
The doses will start coming in this Saturday.
The incoming doses will be used to help the country achieve its goal of fully vaccinating 70 percent of the country's population by late October.
