ON THE VACCINATION FRONT with more doses arriving earlier this week South Korean health authorities say that supplies will not be an issue in achieving the goal of administering first doses to 70 percent of the nation before the Chuseok Holiday.
The latest arrival is the batch of 3.4 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday morning in addition to almost a million doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines coming in the afternoon from Romania that health authorities obtained through separate deals.
This comes after nearly 1.4 million doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine also arrived in South Korea late on Tuesday night.
This batch coming directly from Moderna takes the total number of Moderna doses received since August 23rd to 8.1-5 million.
This is more than the 7 million doses the company had promised to deliver by early September.
