President Moon Jae-in is slated to hold a virtual summit with his Mongolian counterpart Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on Friday.
Seoul's top office said the leaders will discuss issues of mutual interest, including COVID-19 and ways to boost cooperation on global affairs.
The Blue House said Mongolia is a key partner country of South Korea's New Northern Policy and has supported Seoul's Korean Peninsula affairs.
Mongolia is also a member of a Seoul-led regional healthcare initiative.
This will be the first summit between the leaders since President Khurelsukh was elected last June.
