The Korean Health and Medical Workers' Union has called off this morning's planned strike, just hours before unionized workers were set to take nationwide action.
The union says it reached a last-minute deal with the government during their 13th round of talks.
The union said it was able to reach a meaningful deal, securing more personnel and better working conditions.
They also agreed on the need to avoid a vacuum in medical services as the pandemic rages on.
