U.S. Forces Korea has decided to adopt a more flexible approach to mask wearing on its bases, and will not require masks for vaccinated personnel in parts of Korea where there's a low number of coronavirus cases.
USFK said in a press release that the policy starts Saturday.
Masks will not be required on bases in regions where there have been fewer than 50 cases per one-hundred thousand people over a period of seven days or more.
Regardless of the coronavirus incidence rate, masks will be required for service members who are not vaccinated.
Also, only vaccinated personnel will be allowed to visit facilities such as bars, clubs, saunas, bathhouses and off-base gyms.
