We begin with the COVID-19 situation in South Korea. The nation reported 826 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, the highest daily tally in nearly six months.
Of them, all but 61 were locally transmitted.
Three more patients have died, bringing the death toll to 2,024.
There are concerns that the daily tally could rise further, especially as social distancing measures have been eased outside the capital and as cluster infections continue across the nation.
Meanwhile, as of this morning, more than 5 million people or 10 percent of the population have been fully vaccinated.
