'Mobile Clinic Module' developed by KAIST wins top design award Updated: 2021-04-19 14:21:23 KST

Researchers at KAIST have won one of the world's top honors for design.
This is the Red Dot Design Award given by an industry group in Germany, for the team's Mobile Clinic Module, a breakthrough in treating COVID-19.
The Mobile Clinic Module is a negative pressure unit used to block the flow of potentially virus-laden air.
This module won the award, most importantly, because it can be set up anywhere, either to treat patients or assist in screening.
It's easy to transport and install, which means it saves money and time.
It's being used on a trial basis, and will be put onto the market once it's been proven safe and its users are satisfied with its ease of use and effectiveness.
