South Korea reported 418 new COVID-19 cases today, mainly due to cluster infections in the capital regions.
All but 14 were locally transmitted.
Health authorities say infections were reported in various places, such as workplaces, restaurants, and family gatherings.
Meanwhile, the vaccination program continues and on Friday alone, over 67-thousand people were vaccinated.
Since the country started vaccinating people 8 days ago, almost 300-thousand people have received their shots in total.
Around 40 percent of people on the priority list have now been given their first shots.
