South Korean chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK hynix clinched nearly three quarters of the global DRAM market in the fourth quarter last year.
According to market researchers at TrendForce, Samsung had a share of more than 42 percent, followed by SK hynix at over 29 percent.
In third place was U.S. chipmaker Micron Technology at 23 percent.

TrendForce forecasts a slight rise in global DRAM revenue this year on growth in exports and a modest increase in prices.
