In a ranking of the least corrupt countries in the world, South Korea rose last year to 33rd place.
It's risen 18 spots in the last three years,
This is in the latest corruption index by Transparency International, which emphasizes how corrupt governments around the world have undermined the response to COVID-19.
On a scale of zero to a hundred, a hundred meaning very clean, South Korea scored 61 points.
The agency highlighted that the country is an example of significant improvement.
Topping the index were Denmark and New Zealand at 88 points, while the United States had its worst score since 2012 at 67.
