U.S. stocks traded choppily ahead of a busy week that will include a slew of corporate earnings results, economic data, a Federal Open Market Committee meeting and debate over the Biden administration's stimulus proposal.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell point-1 percent while the S&P climbed point-4 percent.
The tech-heavy NASDAQ reached an all time high, rising point-7 percent to finish at nearly 13,636.
Oil prices rose, with Brent Crude up point-8 percent.
WTI also rose nearly a percent to 52-dollars and 79 cents a barrel.
