The inauguration of President Joe Biden was also a star-studded event, with some of the world's biggest artists performing on Wednesday.
This included Lady Gaga who took the stage in Washington D.C., to perform the National Anthem ahead of the swearing-in ceremony.
Wearing a large red skirt and a golden eagle broach, Lady Gaga exchanged words with both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, before singing "The Star-Spangled Banner", along with the U.S. Marine Band.
Lady Gaga actively supported the Biden-Harris ticket throughout the 2020 election cycle.
Jennifer Lopez, who's coming off a wave of major performances at the 2020 Super Bowl and even headlining 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve,' performed as well.
This included a mashup of "This Land is Your Land" and "America the Beautiful", following the swearing-in of Harris.
Despite the big name stars highlighting the event, the 90 minute ceremony was certainly different, as the artists performed in front of a much smaller, masked crowd of just politicians and family members, due to the pandemic and fears over possible violence.
While both Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez wowed the small with their performances, it was President Biden and Vice President Harris who were the center stage, as they begin their at least four year-long journey.
