The Google News Initiative has launched a multi-million dollar global fund to fight misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines.
Dubbed the 'COVID-19 Vaccine Counter Misinformation Open Fund', it aims to support journalism that fact-checks false information about COVID-19 vaccines.
Google will fund up to one million dollars for each selected project.
Priority will be given to collaborative projects of multiple news organizations, and projects that may involve journalists working alongside medical experts.
