Tech trends to watch at CES 2021 Updated: 2021-01-12 16:54:58 KST

On the first day, the organizers shared their views on what to watch at CES 2021 and the year ahead.
Digital health, digital transformation, robotics and drones, vehicle technology, 5G, and smart cities - are things to keep an eye on.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, tech companies are unveiling services that help enhance healthcare.
There are more products on disinfectants, air purifiers and touchless technology as well as intriguing wearable devices, like rings and watches that monitor and track the user's health.

Again 5G is going to be a big deal this year.
Discussions will largely revolve around the applications of 5G such as smart cities and smart homes.

According to the Executive Vice President of the Consumer Electronics Association start-ups is another key area at CES this year.

"Korea has a great group of start-ups that have come to CES. There's 135 start-ups from South Korea. And there's little over 600 start-ups from all over the world participating. So, I think that's always an interesting place to find new companies and new technologies."

The event brings together new ideas and technology, which advance and redefine industries.

"So, I think that in some ways the value is you might come to CES with an idea and find out that the idea you had is really solving something that is completely different from what you have thought of."

The upcoming 'spotlight sessions' that start from Tuesday local time
mean that all registered attendees will get to see exhibitions presented live… just as they would in Las Vegas.
A number of conferences on the most inspiring new technologies are also scheduled for the day.
