The Chair of the U.S. House subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific and non-proliferation has vowed to take decisive steps to move forward with North Korea's denuclearization under the new Biden administration.
U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman made these comments on Monday during talks with Seoul's Democratic Party Korean Peninsula task force, which is in Washington D.C. for five days.
The congressman stressed that Pyeongyang must not resort to provocations during the U.S. presidential transition.
The task force from Seoul is also set to discuss the Seoul-Washington alliance and denuclearization process on the Korean peninsula with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun on Tuesday.
