S. Korea's top security advisor meets U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo Updated: 2020-10-16 05:59:45 KST

South Korea's National Security Advisor Suh Hoon sat down on Thursday for talks with U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington.
Details of the meeting have yet to be unveiled.
Much attention is on Suh's trip as it comes after President Moon Jae-in recently called for a declaration formally ending the Korean War, and with the U.S. election less than three weeks away.
Speaking to reporters following the meeting, Suh said the end-of-war declaration is not something new and it cannot go separately from the denuclearization progress, adding the issue was always on the negotiating table.
