S. Korea's consumer sentiment index down 8.8 points m/m due to stricter social distancing Updated: 2020-09-25 13:28:36 KST

South Korea's consumer sentiment has fallen in September for the first time in five months, mostly due to the stricter social distancing measures.
According to the Bank of Korea, the composite consumer sentiment index was at 79.4, down 8.8 points from last month.
A reading below 100 indicates there are more pessimists than optimists.
This is the second biggest monthly drop in nine years the biggest was in March.
