The U.S. Ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency says North Korea must decide to return to the negotiating table, and appoint an authorized negotiating representative.
Speaking at a meeting of the IAEA's Board of Governors meeting on Thursday, Jackie Walcott said the U.S. is still following goals set by President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, at the 2018 Singapore Summit.
She added that, while Washington has repeatedly taken steps to keep the door open for diplomacy, Pyeongyang must decide whether its ready.
Walcott also urged the international community to engage in talks, saying it's the only viable path for the North's economic development and long-term security.
