And for a closer look at today's weather conditions today we go to our Lee Jee-hyun at the weather center.
The rain seems to be easing up in Seoul but I hear Gangwon-do Province is seeing downpours, what do you have for us?
Hello again, Semin. Parts of Gangwon-do Province are still receiving showers falling at a rate of 30 millimeters an hour. When you consider Seoul received 74 millimeters over the last 12 hours, that gives you some context for the amount of rain falling there.
In fact, over 250 millimeters has already dumped on Jeju. Gangneung and Busan seeing 140 millimeters of rain over the last 15 hours, but now monsoon rain is concentrated in eastern Gangwon-do Province.
As for Seoul, the heavy monsoon rain and blustery winds have died down, but expect lingering rainfall with strong gusts across the country with strong wind advisories. Check your travel schedule in advance to see if any changes have been made.
Be aware that eastern parts of Gangwon-do Province will see rainfall amounting to 150 millimeters, while central parts could see another 20 to 60 millimeters into this evening.
Along with the showers, the final day of June will wrap up on a cooler note, at 23 degrees in Seoul and Gwangju. Daegu at 26 degrees.
