Welcome news for those worried about having to wear a face mask in the summer heat.
People in South Korea will soon be able to buy masks online that are as thin as those used at the dentist's office, but that are also approved by the health authorities for blocking water droplets.
Online sales will start this Friday.
According to industry sources, they'll be available at the online shop of South Korean mask producer Welkeeps for about 40 U.S. cents a piece.
They were approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety on Monday.
The company said it plans to produce 200-thousand masks a day and will decide whether to expand production based on demand.
