Russian envoy to N. Korea says there won't be more nuke talks until after U.S. presidential election Updated: 2020-05-21 08:09:07 KST

The Russian ambassador to Pyeongyang says there will not be another North Korea-U.S. summit until after the U.S. presidential election.
Speaking to the Moscow-based Interfax News Agency, Alexander Matsegora said dialogue, "is deemed pointless for now and seems to have been postponed at least until after the U.S. presidential election," in November.
The envoy said he expects denuclearization talks between the two sides to eventually resume.
He added Moscow was not happy with the hold up as it could potentially raise tensions in the region.
