Chollian-2B weather satellite sends images for first time Updated: 2020-05-11 17:06:54 KST

For the very first time, South Korea has released photos taken by its homegrown geostationary communication and weather satellite, the Chollian-2B.
The Chollian-2B, which was launched into orbit earlier this year can monitor the movement of fine dust and other air pollutants over northeast Asia.
The images were taken during performance testing in March and April.
After its adjustment period ends this October it's expected to send more information on the environment to the National Meteorological Satellite Center.
