A government-chartered flight carrying South Korean passengers from Italy arrived at Incheon International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The flight, carrying 309 passengers is the first of two flights that will bring a total of 530 Koreans back from Italy. Before boarding, passengers went through fever and respiratory checks.
The plane landed at 2:17 PM, and passengers showing symptoms are being tested at the airport while those without symptoms have been directed to designated facilities for secondary testing in four days.
Authorities said if there is a single confirmed case, the entire group will be placed under quarantine for fourteen days, and if results show no confirmed cases, each passenger will follow self-quarantine procedures at home.
