The coronavirus pandemic is even impacting elections.
South Korea's election watchdog has announced it will stop overseas voting for the April general elections in 25 more countries over concerns about the coronavirus pandemic.
The National Election Commission said Monday that it will not be opening polling booths in 25 countries including the U.S. and Canada.
The move comes a week after the watchdog announced the suspension of overseas voting in 17 other countries including Italy.
With the latest decision, Koreans living in 42 countries, more than half the eligible overseas voting population, will not be able to cast their ballots for the upcoming general elections.
