Demand has been growing globally for South Korea's COVID-19 test kits, and now the authorities here have given the green light to seven companies to export the kits.
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has approved the overseas sales of eight diagnosis kits developed by companies including Seegene , Kogenebiotech and Solgent .
These companies have been working on test kits for COVID-19 since mid-January.
Each firm is making enough of them to test roughly 250-thousand people a week.
They've been ordered by 30 countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
