As the new coronavirus spreads quickly even outside of China, the world is on high alert.
As of Friday local time, Chinese health authorities confirmed some 8-hundred-60 cases of infection and 26 related deaths.
Two of the deaths came from outside of the regions near the city of Wuhan for the first time.
The disease has spread to at least eight other countries including South Korea and Japan, which both confirmed a second new case of infection on Friday.
Cases have also been confirmed in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and even in the U.S.
Meanwhile, the WHO announced Thursday the Wuhan coronavirus does not yet constitute a public health emergency of international concern.
