U.S. President Donald Trump has again pressed South Korea to pay more for the upkeep of the more than 28-thousand American troops in the country.
President Trump was discussing the issue of U.S. troops in the Middle East during a Fox News interview over the weekend.
Repeatedly saying that South Korea is a rich country, Trump said Seoul ought to pay much more.
His remarks come ahead of the countries' sixth round of defense cost talks in Washington.
The most recent negotiations were held last month in Seoul, but the allies were unable to make much headway.
