South Korea, China and Japan vowed to work together in fighting infectious diseases, promoting universal health coverage and ensuring healthy ageing for their people.
Issuing a joint statement in the 12th Tripartite Health Ministers Meeting Sunday, the three countries pledged a wide range of medical services at lower costs, by sharing good practices and making effective use of health data and technologies.
Highlighting the importance of crisis communication and information sharing, the three nations said they will strive to better respond to the threat of infectious outbreaks.
Held every year since 2007, the next health ministers meeting will take place in China in 2020.
