S. Korea, Japan hold director-level talks on resolving trade dispute Updated: 2019-11-29 05:12:34 KST

Seoul and Tokyo have held working-level talks regarding Japan's export curbs targeting South Korea's core IT products.
A Seoul official says director-level officials from trade-related ministries sat down on Thursday in South Korea's capital after months of trade and diplomatic friction.
They reportedly discussed arranging a follow-up meeting between higher-level trade officials.
The two countries last week agreed to hold talks on Japan's trade restrictions on semiconductor components to South Korea, as Seoul decided not to terminate their bilateral military intel-sharing pact as long as Tokyo removed its export curbs.
