South Korea's Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo is heading to Saudi Arabia to boost bilateral defense cooperation with the kingdom.
It's his first official visit there since becoming defense chief in September last year.
Minister Jeong was invited by Riyadh following Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to South Korea in June the first by a Saudi Crown Prince in 21 years.
Jeong recently attended celebrations in Seoul for Saudi Arabia's 89th National Day and met the country's ambassador.
He returns to South Korea on Saturday.
