Japan's Self-Defense Forces hold PAC-3 drill in Tokyo amid N. Korea's ongoing missile tests Updated: 2019-10-10 07:04:40 KST

Japan's Self-Defense Forces held a drill on Wednesday to deploy U.S. Patriot missiles in Tokyo, the first such exercise held outside its facilities or U.S. military installations in six years.
Taking place at the Tokyo Rinkai Disaster Prevention Park, the SDF followed procedures to deploy missile launchers, a radar tracking missile, a power-supply vehicle and other equipment needed to respond to a potential enemy attack.
While the latest drill follows eleven missile launches by North Korea since May, Japan's defense ministry denied the drills were in response to the regime's tests.
