The International Atomic Energy Agency adopted a resolution urging North Korea to denuclearize and to fully abide by the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Radio Free Asia reported Friday that during its 63rd annual convention, the IAEA called on Pyeongyang to act in accordance with the NPT and cooperate with the agency on enforcing nuclear weapon safeguards.
The IAEA expressed deep concerns over North Korea's nuclear activities and vowed to work on resuming inspections of Pyeongyang's nuclear facilities.
Since 1993, the agency has adopted a new resolution every year, urging North Korea to comply with its nuclear safeguards agreement with the IAEA.
