Rain continues into the weekend in the capital and Jeju Updated: 2019-07-12 16:43:06 KST

The weather conditions today were not too hot today considering that it's Chobok in Korea, the day that marks the beginning of summer's hottest days.

I hear that the frequent recent rain has contributed to keeping the temperatures down.
For more details, let's turn to our Michelle Park at the weather center, Michelle?

Yes, rain has kept things cooler than expected, but there are more sporadic showers still in the forecast for the capital area and Jeju Island.
The expected amount of precipitation isn't large but it's expected to continue through the weekend.
Meanwhile, if you are in Beijing, make sure to wear plenty of sun protection and stay indoors if possible, as conditions will be cloudless and sweltering throughout the day.

Saturday morning will kick off in the twenties, but we are seeing a slight increase from today's readings.
Seoul will start the day at 22 degrees Celsius.

The daytime highs will mostly linger below the 30 degree mark. In addition, sporadic showers will increase in the afternoon, while, the southern regions and Jeju Island are expected to be influenced by a monsoon front again.

The southern regions will get soaked again next week as the monsoon front makes it up northwards, but not close enough to affect the capital.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
